Rica Arriane

The girl with a super lupit handwriting. I never got tired looking at her signature "RAMAborque".
'Pag sinabi na ng teacher namin na "exchange papers with your seatmate", 'yan na... automatic corrected by: RAMAborque na 'yan.

We had been classmates our elementary and secondary years (most of it). And kadalasan sa school years na 'yon, seatmate ko s'ya (sa ayaw n'ya o sa gusto... alphabetical kadalasan e.lols.)
Nung elementary, madalas n'yang ballpen e yung Lotus. 'Di ako mayaman, pero di nauubusan tinta ballpen ko... 'di s'ya mahirap, pero pag titignan ko balpen n'ya lagi paubos na ink. Lately ko lang narealize... tamad nga pala kasi ako magsulat.

Unlike other girls nung elementary kami, kung saan yung iba e trying hard to grow up at magdalaga, etong si Rica sakto lang. Ever since bata pa kami she was never the kind to try and be someone else. I have always admired her for being so cool and confident in her own way.

Pero syempre, as kids, naglaro at nagharutan din naman.
I remember in grade 5, naglaro sila habulan sa room... e row by row pa yun, kasi grade 5 eh. so sa isle sila nagtatakbuhan. Iiiiiiiiiiiiiikot ng ikot... e mga bata... JUMBO mga bag! (bag nga ni Rica nun e yung may stroller pa eh! nyuk nyuk nyuk!) nagkalat ang mga jumbo-hala na bags at lunchbox. Ayun. Nadapa. Sa tapat ko pa ha... (at least naka ilang laps sya sa race track ng mga row seats before sya nadapa.)

Nakasubsob pa s'ya. Natahimik ang lahat. Gumalaw si Rica. Dahan-dahan...
Pagtaas ng mukha n'ya, nakita ko, naka-smile pa s'ya! akala ko di nasaktan... later on napansin ko, kaya pala pagtingala n'ya e nakasmile s'ya, e kasi pala nka-smile s'ya bumagsak. Tapos sabi n'ya...

"...aray... ang shakit!..."

Nagcrack na pla yung maliit na portion ng ngipin n'ya. Ayun. Memorable.

Anyway, that was in grade 5. Buti na lang may milk teeth tayo.
Ngayon, pang koreanovela na ang beauty ng lola mo!
She also takes me seriously whenever I ask her a question out of nowhere. Minsan kasi, bigla ako napapaisip ng word, e 'di ako sure sa spelling... so I ask her. Effort naman s'ya mag-isip. Hehehe. Sweet. :)

Si Rica masarap patawanin. Kasi makikita mo talaga na namumula s'ya sa hirap tumigil. Minsan nga nagtatawanan kami, bigla ako natigilan sa pagtawa! I seriously thought there was something wrong! Akala ko naipitan na ng ugat o whatever e, pano ba naman, namula ng sobra tapos naluha! Tapos, nakanganga pero walang sounds na lumalabas... yiiiiiiii, natakot ako, akalaa ko inatake na or something. Ayun pala tumatawa. Amfs.

Madali din 'to pakiligin. Grabe, there was this time nung high school when suuuuuper taas ng fever nito! Ang pula ng face tpos she keeps making these "eeeeee" sounds! Grabe fever n'ya...

Hanggang ngayon naman 'ata mahilig parin 'to sa mga ganung love stories, pa'no kahit dati 'pag sisilip ako sa profile n'ya madalas yung sikat na koreanovela ang background profile n'ya.

Now a Lady

Dalaga na. Nagkita kami recently sa graduation party ni Arbie, ayun, dalaga na, hehehe. Pero kikay parin. When I saw her, I then took the opportunity para mag apologize... kay tagal akong nabigatan sa guilt ko. I approached her then I just let it all out!

"Rica... sorry 'di ko nasoli yung ballpen mo na hiniram ko nung high school..."

Nailabas ko din. And I was so glad that she forgave me effortlessly. Such a decent woman.



I made her my 1st featured friend coz of a reason even she doesn't know...
there was this one point in my life when I felt so down. I accidentally browsed in her profile, scrolled down and got to take a glimpse of its content. Enumerated on a portion of her FS were inspirational lines that made me think for a while... karamihan dun swak e. Hehehe. So ayun... napapadaan na ako minsan sa page n'ya to look at it every once in a while.

Reserved na tao si Rica (the way I know her). Never ko nakita na super papansin, o nagyabang, o kahit anong extremely bad na attitude. She may have her faults pero na-bypass na sa mata ko 'yon kaya siguro 'di na tumatak sa utak ko.

The Rica I know is a sweet girl that's very down to earth, fun-loving, friendly, smiling face, smart, witty and energetic. That's just around the surface, mind you. Read her blogs and you'd see a much deeper side of Rica Arriane. We were not friends na nasa stage na nagkasabihan ng problema, so now you'd see that the rough estimation of Rica was over-all admirable already. What more if you take time to take a peek inside, right?

For those who would like to try to know her more, I'm telling you upfront... she's worth your time. Guys, it's true that there's a lot of fish in the sea... pero kahit na marami, not all of them shines with this kind of inner AND outer beauty.




Ay, oo nga pala, muntik ko na makalimutan...
